With Bunnings Warehouse taking over the sponsorship of provincial rugby in New Zealand, fans rejoiced that the premier men’s competition will now be called the Bunnings Warehouse NPC - the first time the naming convention NPC (National Provincial Championship) has been used since 2005.
The official @BunningsNPC Twitter account asked fans ‘what is the first memory that hits your mind when you hear the letters NPC’ and were immediately inundated with memories, anecdotes and special moments from the history of the NPC which first kicked off in 1976.
